![]() Alia fits perfectly into the role of Vaidehi who is not just beautiful (an adjective that is considered the best compliment for women), but is strong-willed, ambitious and unstoppable. They give excellent perform as two actors but there is little about the Jodi, though whenever they appear together in the second half, it spells magic. But let me tell you this that there is not much of the 'jodi' factor here. ![]() The performances were 'lallantop'! Alia and Varun sizzle once again. BUT, and there is a big but there, there is a lot of twists and turns that are pleasantly different and good! The difference is such that I guess 'Vaidehi Ka Dulha' could have been a more suitable title of the movie. Yes, like all other Bollywood movies, Vaidehi does become Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya. Varun plays Badrinath Bansal, the UP ka launda who considers himself to be the 'sabse bada mard of Jhansi'! He is off to attend a wedding in Kota, where he meets the strong and beautiful Vaidehi Trivedi! He falls in love and proposes marriage, she says no! But his pursuits continue. It has most of the fun elements that its previous part had (and they are in no way connected as you would have already understood), but there is also a very strong message about gender bias and a few societal evils that are still prevalent in the mane of tradition! Well, the feeling doesn't change pretty much with the next instalment, Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya. Light-hearted, fun, nice- that was the feel when you walked out of the theatre after watching Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
